Vancouver, BC, June 13, 2024 — As the former President and lifetime honorable member of the German Canadian Business Association (GCBA) in Vancouver, BC, Beatrice Schreiber extends her heartfelt best wishes to the Honorary Consul in Calgary, Hubertus Liebrecht, on his upcoming retirement in July 2024.

Consul Liebrecht’s remarkable tenure from 2002 to 2010, alternating between the positions of Vice President and President of the GCBA, is highly commendable. During his time with the association, Consul Liebrecht and Ms. Schreiber had the pleasure of working closely together, fostering business development and growth within the German Canadian community in British Columbia.

His unwavering dedication and numerous contributions have undoubtedly made a significant impact, strengthening the ties of the German community in Western Canada. As a special honor from the Federal Republic of Germany, both Ms. Schreiber and Consul Liebrecht proudly carry the German Cross of Merit, reflecting their commitment to fostering international relations and cooperation.
