Vancouver, BC – written May 8, 2024 – Vancouver has a small, but hidden office virtually representing Saarland, Germany and we are excited to share an upcoming event with you.
As a private initiative, the non-profit SHS Foundation is dedicated to promoting the economic and cultural region of Saarland. Through the power of the internet, a global network of Saarlanders is coming together, connecting individuals, businesses, and public entities who share a love for Saarland and its people. This network facilitates the swift exchange of information, the provision of services and goods, the establishment of invaluable connections, and the encouragement of long-term investments. This interconnectedness manifests through various economic, social, and academic projects.
The foundation’s two core projects are the global network of Saarland ambassadors and the “emotional globalization” initiative. Saarland ambassadors volunteer their efforts to champion Saarland and actively contribute to fostering a positive and innovative image of the region. The “emotional globalization” initiative focuses on establishing virtual Saarland offices and implementing projects and events with ties to Saarland.
