The air up® bottle enhances your water-drinking experience by using scent to create the perception of flavour—without adding anything to the water itself. You start by filling the bottle with plain water—still or sparkling, your choice—then pop your favourite flavoured pod onto the mouthpiece. When you sip through the straw, you’re pulling both water from the bottle and air from the outside through the pod. That’s where the retronasal olfaction magic happens. It’s a fancy way of saying that your sense of smell helps to shape what you are tasting.
But in more detail: In the back of the throat, the fragrant air bubbles separate from the water and interact with the olfactory epithelium. Your brain then interprets the scent you ingest as flavour alongside the water you drink—so even though you’re just drinking water, it tastes like something much more flavourful. The scent-taste-function can be easily activated and deactivated by using the sliding mechanism of the pod on top of the mouthpiece: flavoured pod pulled means it’s activated, flavour pod pushed down means it’s deactivated. - What are the key nutritional benefits of using the air up® system compared to traditional flavoured beverages?

Our products are made in Europe, where we can keep a close eye on quality, support local economies, and reduce our carbon footprint.
