This message is an invitation to the German Community in Metro Vancouver to help establish an official, recognized chapter of the DFB (Deutscher Fußball-Bund) Fan Club here in Vancouver. The DFB is the governing body of German football, and becoming an “Official Fan Club” grants the local community formal recognition from Germany.
The Requirements
To secure this official status, the DFB has a specific threshold that must be met:
- Minimum Membership: At least 20 individuals must sign up.
- Current Progress: There are already 7 to 10 people committed, meaning the group needs about 10 to 13 more to reach the goal.
- Information Needed: Only basic details are required for the registry: First Name, Last Name, and Date of Birth.
- Cost: Participation is completely free.
What This Means for the Community
By reaching this milestone, the group (and the “Mia San Vancouver” community) gains a direct line to German football culture. Benefits often include:
- Priority access to tickets for German National Team matches.
- Official merchandise and fan materials.
- Networking opportunities with other official fan clubs globally.
- Enhanced local presence for match-day viewings and cultural events.
