Luyanda Mali, a 21-year-old actor from Mpaka, Eswatini, is rapidly gaining recognition in the South African entertainment industry. Born and raised in Mpaka, Mali has been nominated for three prestigious awards: the Sekhukhune Recognition Awards for Best Youth Leadership Empowerment, the Mzansi Arts and Media Awards for Best Actor, and the UMUSA KZN Awards for Best Actor.
Now the award nominee and South African-based actor Luyanda Mali has been signed by Enorama Talent Agency, the biggest international talent agency. The agency confirmed the news of the signing of the youngest rising artist.
Where are you from?
- 1. Am located in South Africa but I was born in Eswatini Mpaka, formerly known as Swaziland. I went to Evelyn Baring High school and went to NDD Acting School were I obtained a drama in Art certificate last year.
When did you start acting?
2. I have been in the acting scene since 2020.
What movies have you been seen in?
3. I took part in movies like The Reunion, Amakroti for life Gabhadiya, The Killer, Tears of a Woman, Champions (Cameo role) Telenovela and Ruff Project for Wild OX Production Radio drama.
What is Your Ideal Role?
3. My ideal role is Amakroti for life Gabhadiya where I was playing as lead role as the dangerous villainous gang boss leader Gabhadiya.
How Did you Get Connected with Enorama?
4. My Talent Agency Enorama was very excited with the hard work I have been putting on my craft, so they had an interest to sign me as one of their clients or talent.
What Skills Do you have besides Movie Acting?
5. I do stage acting, screen acting, pantomime and martial arts.
What are some upcoming Projects?
6. Currently I’ve been busy with a voice over project and looking forward to it
