Vancouver, BC – For German-speaking residents of British Columbia, a welcoming and dynamic opportunity to sharpen public-speaking skills while practicing the language is being created as we speak. The Vancouver German Toastmasters Club, founded by local German-Canadians Minal and Torsten, invites everyone aged 16 and older who speaks fairly good German to its next open meeting on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 8:00 to 9:30 pm PST.

The club plans to offer a supportive, German-only environment where members and guests alike can build confidence through structured speeches, impromptu speaking exercises (Table Topics), and constructive, encouraging feedback. Unlike traditional language-exchange meetups, the proven Toastmasters format provides clear progression paths while keeping every session relaxed and enjoyable.
“Many German speakers in Vancouver miss regular opportunities to use their mother tongue in a meaningful, social setting,” explains co-founder Torsten. “We combine genuine language practice with the chance to become a more confident communicator – all from the comfort of home.
”Minal adds, “Whether you’re a heritage speaker, an expatriate, an advanced learner, or simply someone who loves Deutsch, you’ll fit right in. Guests are always welcome and never pressured to speak until they feel ready.
”The fully virtual format on Zoom will most likely be popular with busy professionals, students, and parents across Greater Vancouver and beyond. Meetings follow the classic Toastmasters structure yet remain 100 % auf Deutsch, creating an immersive and fun atmosphere.
