Dear WINK Friends,
I wanted to let you know that WINK (Westcoast International Networking Klub) will wrap up at the end of 2025. This is because I now have two clients that will be taking up at least 20 hours a week and I still need time to post articles and do media. It’s been such a joy connecting with you all, and I’m grateful for the friendships and ideas we’ve shared.
In the meantime, let’s keep the fun going this fall!
- September – Join me at the German Canadian Care Home Fundraiser/Oktoberfest in Stanley Park on September 25th
- October – Options include Harvest Haus Oktoberfest (Oct 3, PNE) or our own Tag der Deutschen Einheit Celebration at Jaegerhof (like last year)
- November – A Whitecaps Game outing.
- December – A festive Christmas Dinner downtown. (like last year)
Looking ahead, I also recommend the Swiss-Canadian Chamber of Commerce West (where I’m now Marketing & Admin Coordinator). They are welcoming WINK Members to their September 18th Pub Night in False Creek, so contact me for details.
Finally, if you had thought about hosting a future WINK event at your workplace, now’s the time to let me know for October/November. Also, if there is a speaker you can recommend, I am open to ideas. Some things we could talk about are FIFA 2026 opportunities or using AI in our business.
One idea is that every WINK member, especially if you are not in Vancouver, can receive an ad on my website as a thank you gift. Just send me an ad, and I can post it.
Thanks again for being part of WINK. Let’s stay in touch through my newsletter, the Swiss Chamber, social media, and of course, our German-Canadian community. I am really grateful to everyone who joined me on this journey for the last 2 years.
Warmly,
Elke
